Privacy Policy
Version 1.2 · Updated: October 19, 20261. Scope and controller
This Policy explains how the operator of Adverta Tools (“Adverta Tools”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit the website, create an account, use the Windows application, contact support or manage a subscription.
For privacy requests, email write.adv3rta@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password hash, account identifiers and language preference.
- Trial and subscription data: selected plan, trial dates, subscription status, promo-code result and transaction identifiers. A payment provider may process card details; we do not need to receive the full card number.
- Technical data: app version, operating system, device and diagnostic information, IP address, security events and error logs when these are sent to our service.
- Support data: messages, attachments and contact details you provide when asking for help.
- Local website data: language and cookie preference stored in your browser to keep the interface working.
3. Your files
Core editing operations are designed to run locally on your computer. Files used in Image Slicer, Metadata Editor, Batch Watermark, Palette Grabber and Global Color Picker are not uploaded to our servers as part of normal local processing.
If a future cloud feature or support request requires an upload, the interface will identify that action. We will use the uploaded material only to provide the requested feature or support.
4. Why we use data
We use personal data to:
- create and secure accounts;
- provide trial and paid access;
- deliver downloads, updates and support;
- process subscriptions and apply offers;
- maintain reliability, prevent fraud and investigate abuse;
- meet accounting, tax and legal obligations;
- improve the Service using aggregated or de-identified information where possible.
Depending on your location and the purpose, processing is based on performance of our contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Service, or your consent.
5. Local storage and cookies
The backend sets the essential HttpOnly adverta_session cookie for sign-in and session continuity. This site stores your language choice (advertaLanguage) and cookie preference (advertaCookieConsent) in local storage until you clear site data. No optional analytics or advertising cookies or scripts are currently used. You can review or change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer.
6. Sharing
We may share only the data needed with service providers that support hosting, authentication, email delivery, diagnostics, customer support and payment processing. They may process data only for the agreed service and under appropriate safeguards.
We may also disclose data when required by law, to protect users or the Service, or as part of a business reorganisation. We do not sell personal data.
7. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we use recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards designed to protect the data.
8. Retention
We keep account and subscription data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for security, support and legal obligations. Payment and accounting records are kept for the period required by law. Diagnostic logs are normally kept for up to 12 months, and support correspondence for up to 24 months, unless a longer period is needed for an active issue or legal requirement.
Data stored only in your browser remains until you clear site data or the browser removes it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, secure transport where applicable and restricted provider access. No system is completely secure, so keep your device and password protected and install security updates.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some data may be retained when the law requires it or when needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to data processing in their country. If you believe a child provided personal data without the required permission, contact us through the support channel.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy when the Service or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page. Material changes will be communicated through the website, application or account when required.
13. Version history
Clarified actual website cookie and local storage use.
Added account data export and deletion controls, consent history and the support email.
